Carl Froch‘s beef with John Fury continues to roll on.
Former world champion Froch and ‘Big John’ – the father of former world heavyweight ruler Tyson Fury – have been trading barbs for some time. Froch is never afraid to speak his mind, often on his YouTube channel, and John doesn’t take kindly to criticism of his son.
The two recently came face to face at the press conference to announce Tyson’s upcoming fight with Arslan Makmudov, and John was incensed, shouting plenty and calling out Froch for a fight.
Speaking to The Sun Sport and Froch On Fighting, ‘The Cobra’ explained what happened during their latest coming together.
“He was just out of control. He made no sense. When he came down the stairs shouting where is he, where is he, I was stood right in front of him. I kept my mouth shut, I kept professional and thought that would cool him down and pipe him down a bit but he went on for quite a long rant and for what, I don’t know.
“He’s taking about new using his name on my YouTube channel to get some momentum. I don’t know, he’s a very strange character, but he is a character, I think he was trying to bring some attention to the fight. He does that every time.”
Fury Sr is now 60, but that didn’t stop him from suggesting he take on Froch, 48, on the undercard of Tyson’s April comeback.
