Tyson Fury Compares Jake Paul To World Champion Knockout Artist: “Who’s Really Better?”

Jake Paul‘s fight with heavyweight legend Mike Tyson is just days away.

Paul is set to face Tyson on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This professional bout has been sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations and is an eight-round contest that will be streamed live on Netflix despite the fact it has split the public’s opinion.

The main reason for this is the vast difference in age. This fight marks 58-year-old Tyson’s first return to the professional ring for nearly two decades after his retirement in 2005. Health concerns earlier this year, including a stomach ulcer flare-up that postponed the original July date, are also a factor. Paul, 28, has had just 11 fights and lost one of them.

Speaking ahead of the fight to Boxing News, Tyson Fury – whose brother Tommy was the only man to beat Paul – has compared the controversial star to a multi-weight world champion in Gervonta Davis.

“Anyone who doesn’t think it’s a fantastic event is jealous. Who’s better, ‘Tank’ Davis or Jake Paul? Immediately, a normal layman would say’ Tank’ Davis is better, but better at what?

“Is he better at selling tickets, is he better at selling stadiums out, is he better at creating controversy, is he better at getting followed on Instagram, is he better at getting more eyeballs on the boxing? Is he better at that? The answer would be no. You have to break it down, you know what I mean?”

‘Tank’ Davis is undefeated in 30 and has stopped 28 of his opponents. He has star power, too, having entered the top five record gates in Las Vegas for his fight with Ryan Garcia last year.

Fury has his own huge event coming up on December 21 when he tries to avenge the one and only loss of his career against Oleksandr Usyk.
