Tyson Fury Urges Heavyweight To Make Boxing Return: “We’ll Get Paid A Fortune To Fight”

Tyson Fury is well known for rivalries that go further than just one fight.

So far in his decorated career, he has had two trilogies. One was with fellow Brit Derek Chisora who he has beaten conclusively three times over the last 15 years.

After a long lay-off following his standout win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, he stepped into the ring with WBC champion Deontay Wilder and after fighting to a draw, they met twice more, with Fury winning both times by stoppage.

Speaking to Pound 4 Pound with Kamaru & Henry, he has also spoken about hoping to see his former opponent and MMA star Francis Ngannou back in the ring once more having beaten him back in 2023.

“Sure I’d like to see him back in the boxing game. Heavyweight boxing is special when the guys are as big as Anthony Joshua and Ngannou and they are teeing off on each other with haymakers. Anyone can go at any time, ‘AJ’ knocked Ngannou out with that right hand, but ‘AJ’ has been knocked out cold himself, sprawled out on the canvas so it can happen to anybody. I’d like to see Ngannou back.”

He then said he would want a rematch with the former UFC champion who, before losing on points, famously put Fury down much to the shock of the boxing world.

“I thought he was a good boxer. I had a tough fight with him myself. I’d like [to fight him again]. There’s another s**t ton of money I’d like to make. I’ll get that massive bag again. Who wouldn’t?”

In May, Tyson had a shot at undisputed honours when taking on Oleksandr Usyk for all four belts but narrowly came up short and lost on points. The pair are now set to do it all again on December 21 and Fury has hinted that should he win, the only option would be to have a third deciding fight. He also believes a fight with Joshua is inevitable before the pair retire.
