Tyson Fury Responds To Reports That Anthony Joshua Fight Is Signed For Dublin

Rumours have emerged that Tyson Fury is locked in to fight Anthony Joshua in Dublin later this year.

This is still the heavyweight fight that most fans are keenest to see. It would be an epic clash between two British boxing titans who have been dominating the sport both inside and outside the ring for the last decade.

Right now they are at similar stages in their career. Joshua was a long-ruling unified champion who was dethroned by Oleksandr Usyk and failed to win back his belts in the rematch, and the same thing happened to WBC champion Fury when he fought the two-time undisputed ruler.

Fury took more than a year out but returns this weekend, while Joshua last fought back in November when he stopped Jake Paul.

Speaking to iFL TV, ‘The Gypsy King’ denied the fight with Joshua has already been signed.

“I’ve heard about it all yeah but it’s all pie in the sky. I’ve also heard reports we’re fighting in America, I’ve also heard reports we’re fighting in London, I’ve also heard reports of so many things, I’m doing everything. Everything you can think of I’m supposed to be doing. If It happens, good, if it doesn’t happen, good, if it’s meant to be God will let it happen.”

Fury takes on towering Russian Arslanbek Makmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London this weekend in a must-win fight if there are any hopes this clash against Joshua can be made sometime in the near future.
