Tyson Fury has revealed there is one heavyweight fighter he will not be taking on in the professional ring.
Fury has been retired since January, just weeks after his second consecutive loss to Oleksandr Usyk, with the first coming back in May for the undisputed title, which Usyk has since claimed for a second time.
Although he has been talking up a potential trilogy next year, many fans hope he will instead take on Anthony Joshua for a legacy-defining showdown.
While nothing is yet confirmed, ‘The Gypsy King’ continues to be asked about who else he might be ready for.
In a short video from Queensbury Promotions, Moses Ituama is one name mentioned and Fury doesn’t hesitate to answer.
“No, definitely not, you think I’m stupid?”
Itauma has been in the gym sparring the likes of Lawrence Okolie since he was just 15. He has also shared the ring with Fury and Usyk before now, and both of them have hailed him as a future world champion.
This weekend he takes on Dillian Whyte, a former world title challenger and notoriously tough man. Another win for Itauma would catapult him to the next stage in his career and surely one step closer to a first world title shot.
His last three fights have all ended inside the first two rounds, with 10 knockouts from his 12 fights so far all showing he has legitimate power.
Whyte has 21 KO wins of his own from his 34 fights, but at 37-years-old, is surely towards the end of his career.
