Ryan Garcia Sums Up Rolly Romero’s Power In Just 2 Words Ahead Of Manny Pacquiao Fight

Ryan Garcia has shared his verdict on the punching power of former rival Rolly Romero ahead of a potential clash with Manny Pacquiao.

King Ry’ suffered the second defeat of his professional career to Romero at Times Square in New York City back in May, falling short in his attempt at becoming the WBA Regular welterweight champion.

‘Rolly’ floored Garcia in the second round of their clash before he was declared the winner via unanimous decision in what has been regarded as the best performance of the 29-year-old’s professional career to date, and he has seen been elevated to full WBA champion.

As reports emerge that a deal for Romero to face Filipino icon Pacquiao next is close to being signed, Garcia has shared an honest assessment of his countryman’s punching power.

Speaking on the Inside The Ring Show, Garcia claimed that Romero has ‘thudding power’ although he does admit that he believes Pacquiao will come out on top should his clash with ‘Rolly’ come to fruition next.

“Rolly is very awkward and he has a lot of power. He has rocks for his hands and I don’t say that lightly. It’s thudding power, it’s not snappy but thudding. Do I still think Pacquiao wins? 100%”

‘PacMan’ made a sensational return to the ring after a four year hiatus back in July, fighting to a majority decision draw against reigning WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The 46-year-old Filipino great revealed this week that he is set to make his return to the ring in January 2026, with an official announcement expected to be made in the coming weeks.
