Manny Pacquiao looks set to take on Rolly Romero in his next fight.
Pacquiao made a sensational return to the sport at the age of 46 back in July when he challenged Mario Barrios for his WBC welterweight title.
There were a lot of concerns for the Filipino icon heading into the bout, but he proved he can still compete at the top level as he and Barrios fought to a majority decision draw after 12 rounds of action.
It was initially believed that an immediate rematch may occur next, but Pacquiao has appeared to shift his focus elsewhere, with WBA welterweight champion Romero believed to be the man that will be stood in the opposite corner when he returns.
One man who knows what it is like to face Romero is Ryan Garcia, who was knocked down on his way to a surprise unanimous decision defeat to Rolly at Times Square in New York in May.
With that in mind, Garcia has given his prediction for the proposed bout on the Inside The Ring Show, admitting that he still favours Pacquiao.
“Rolly is very awkward and he has a lot of power. Do I still think Pacquiao wins? 100%”
It was the biggest win of Romero’s career last time out when he overcame Garcia, having previously lost to the likes of Gervonta Davis and Isaac Cruz in the past.
While the fight between Pacquiao and Romero is yet to be officially announced, the Filipino icon recently released a video revealing what date he plans to return.
