Mike Tyson will return to the ring on November 15 to face Jake Paul, a man with not a fraction of the heavyweight’s experience but who is fresher by three decades.

The 58-year-old former undisputed champion last fought professionally in 2005 and told the crowd after the defeat that he had lost his ferocity, fighting had left his heart.

It’s one of the many reasons this bout with Paul – who has ten wins in the ring over mostly retired MMA fighters – has drawn such controversy.

One man who is no stranger to making a comeback is George Foreman, who, after ten years out of boxing, returned to win a world title at 45-years-old

It was put to ‘Big’ George by NY Fights that Tyson, even at this age, should be able to ‘drop and stop’ Paul. He was clear in his answer.

“Jake Paul is no pushover and he is not afraid of any of these guys. Time is on his side. So happy for Mike Tyson, he needed this excitement in his life. Everyone is talking about it. Answer to your question: “No.”

In a seperate piece with USA Today, Foreman continued his praise of the younger man, sending a warning to Tyson.

“Be careful with Paul. Only because Paul has tricks. Tyson gets hit with one punch at his age, you start to hear funny noises. Haha.”

Tyson and Paul will fight over eight, two-minute rounds and sport 16 ounce gloves for the event in Texas, to be broadcast on Netflix in a first for the sport.
