George Foreman Names The Fighter With ‘Power From Another Planet’: “Never Seen Anything Like Him”

George Foreman is one of the hardest punchers to have ever entered the boxing ring.

Across two spells at heavyweight, Foreman had epic battles with the likes of Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier and Evander Holyfield.

He also became the division’s oldest ever champion when in 1994 aged 45 he stopped 26-year-old Michael Moorer despite coming off a 10-year lay-off.

Foreman recently took to X to share his views and lavish praise on another man with famous power, and that is ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, Mike Tyson.

“Say what you want; criticise as you will; But the fact of the mater is; Mike Tyson was the most spectacular athlete I have ever seen. Power & speed like someone from another planet. All other sports were put on back burner when [Tyson] fought.”

Tyson’s record backs up Foreman’s claims. He stopped all 12 of his first opponents inside the first round and didn’t go six rounds until his 19th fight.

By the age of 20, he was the youngest man to ever become a world heavyweight tile holder and had famous battles with the likes of Holyfield, Frank Bruno and Lennox Lewis.

Tyson retired in 2005 after losing back-to-back fights but returns to the ring this weekend when he takes on a man less than half his age.

Former YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul has had just 11 fights and lost one so there is a huge disparity in experience between the two, but the pair are still set to share eight two-minute rounds in Arlington, Texas, live on Netflix.
