Gervonta Davis is yet to be truly tested in his professional career.
The current WBA lightweight champion is unbeaten at 30-0, with 28 of his victories coming by knockout.
He has claimed stoppage wins against the likes of Ryan Garcia, Leo Santa Cruz, Rolly Romero and most recently Frank Martin back in June.
‘Tank’ is set to return against Lamont Roach in December, but many fans believe his most difficult battle would come against one of the other world champions.
That could be Shakur Stevenson, who is the current WBC champion at 135lbs, but whilst speaking to Cigar Talk, Davis dismissed Stevenson as a potential threat.
“Hell no that’s not my hardest fight. Why would it be? Show me something that he did spectacular, show me something that he did outrageous, show me. His power is not outrageous.
“What defence? He just jumps back, you never see him slip no punches you just see him back up from a lot of people, back up, move around, move around, he ain’t got no technique.
“Easy work, I touched him with 16 ounce gloves on and he ran, imagine if I hit him with 8 ounce gloves.”
Instead, Davis named who he thinks would be his toughest opponent in an interview with Boxing News, and he still thinks Floyd Mayweather, who hasn’t fought professional for over 7 years but has been involved in exhibition fights, would be his toughest test.
“Mayweather.”
Davis and Mayweather haven’t seen eye to eye in recent years since their promotional split, and Mayweather has weighed in on how a fight between ‘Tank’ and Stevenson would go.
