Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis has reacted to Shakur Stevenson’s performance against last-minute opponent Josh Padley.
It took Stevenson 9-rounds to break down and eventually stop Padley, with the Brit putting in a great account of himself after stepping in to challenge for the WBC title on just a few days’ notice in what was a life-changing opportunity for the 29-year-old.
In a post on social media, ‘Tank’ Davis needed just one simple word to sum up Stevenson’s performance against his last-minute challenger: lol, or laughing out loud.
Lol

Davis returns to action himself on March 1 as he defends his WBA lightweight title against Lamont Roach Jr at the Barclays Center in New York City. The 30-year-old remains unbeaten through his 30-fight professional career, with his sights now set on the biggest fights available to him.
Stevenson and Davis have been on a collision course to face eachother for a number of years now, with both fighters reportedly keen on a showdown. As arguably two best lightweights on the planet, a bout between the pair would undoubtedly be one of the biggest that the sport has to offer.
Time could be running out for ‘Tank’ to secure a fight against Stevenson however, after the 30-year-old announced plans to make a shock exit from the sport by the end of 2025, although it remains unclear whether or not the three-weight world champion is actually true to his word.
