Gervonta Davis has told Shakur Stevenson exactly what he needs to do to secure a showdown against his long-term rival.

The lightweight superstars have been on a collision course for a couple of years now, although a fight between the pair has yet to come to fruition, much to the disappointment of boxing fans and pundits around the world.

Both fighters currently hold world titles in the 135lb division, with Davis holding the WBA crown and Stevenson holding the coveted WBC title which he won at the back end of 2023 with a points victory against Edwin De Los Santos.

Tank’ Davis returns to the ring against Lamont Roach Jr on March 1, with the 30-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland looking to extend his perfect unbeaten record and rack up another explosive knockout victory in the process.

In a recent media scrum, Davis was asked if he believes Stevenson should face newly-crowned WBO lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis to finally secure the opportunity to face him in the near future.

“They should. They ain’t under the same coaches or none of that. They keep screaming this ‘brother’ s**t out. F**k outta here, man. They do need to fight.”

‘Tank’ followed this up with his opinion of WBO champion Davis’ performance against Denys Berinchyk on February 14.

“[Berinchyk] was ass … Garbage. Top Rank know how to do it. Top Rank is good at putting people in front of you, they probably have a good record but they be ass. See who they fought. That guy that had that belt, he was worse than [George] Kambosos.”

Just minutes after his victory over Berinchyk, ‘The Businessman’ made a sensational call-out to ‘Tank’ Davis, with his sights set on a unification showdown with the unbeaten WBA lightweight champion.

Keyshawn and Stevenson have been open about the fact that they are not interested in matching up due to their strong relationship outside of the ropes, so this is an ultimatum from ‘Tank’ that will likely not be followed.
