Jake Paul‘s next move is not yet clear.
Paul was last in action in November when he took part in a highly publicised yet highly controversial fight against boxing legend Mike Tyson.
It saw ‘Iron Mike’ stepping back into the ring for a professional contest for the first time since 2005, and whilst now being 58-years-old.
Paul claimed the unanimous decision victory, but there have been claims from some that the bout was scripted due to how it unfolded.
One man who seemingly agrees with that theory is Hall of Fame inductee Bernard Hopkins, who told Fight Hype that he would not follow any script if he was facing Paul.
“I wouldn’t go in there playing and tapping. I would break the rules. Certain people can’t play without turning it into a real fight. I’m a bad script follower when it comes to playing boxing.
“I can remember way back in the school days when you would do slap boxing, and next thing it would become fisticuffs. Somebody would hit somebody where they felt it was too hard and it would be a full blown assault.
I’m not a script player real well. Whether it’s Jake Paul or anybody else that is into the entertainment of boxing, it would be a problem. They would get a real fight out of me, as soon as I get hit I’m going to lose the script.”
While Hopkins refers to an alleged script, Tyson has now spoken out for the first time over claims that the fight with Paul was rigged.
