Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia were quick to react to Conor Benn‘s performance against Regis Prograis.

‘The Destroyer’ made his return to action on Saturday night as he defeated two-time world super-lightweight champion Prograis at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

There was a great deal of expectation surrounding Benn’s return, and the 29-year-old Londoner won wide on the cards in what was his first ring appearance since he got revenge over Chris Eubank Jr last November. Many had, however, expected him to become the first man to stop Prograis, who said he came into the fight having suffered numerous injuries in camp.

One man who did not appear to be impressed with Benn’s performance is reigning WBO world welterweight champion Haney, who said in a post on X that the Brit should no longer call him out.

“Conor stay away”

Another potential future rival of Benn went further – WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia branded the 29-year-old as a ‘bum’ on social media.

“CONNOR BUMM”

Benn has said he wants Garcia’s next and is currently the mandatory challenger.

However, Haney and Garcia are more than familiar with each other too, having fought back in April 2024. A rematch between the pair could trump a clash between ‘King Ry’ and Benn, particularly since it is one of the most in-demand fights in the sport of boxing.

The Brit’s team will now open conversations with Garcia’s team, and the WBC may put a firm order in place for the fight to happen.
