The much-anticipated rematch between heavyweight elites Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury is fast approaching, and former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman is 100% certain who will come out on top.

This fight in Saudi Arabia on December 21 is a rerun of the undisputed contest in May, although is now for just three of the four world title belts.

The IBF was vacated by Usyk in order to honour this rematch and has been picked up by Daniel Dubois who defended it in sensational fashion against Anthony Joshua last month.

The first fight was close from start to finish with just one standout round for Usyk in the 9th which saw him take the lead on the cards after a huge shot sent Fury around the ropes and into a 10 count.

Whether or not Fury can be better second time around has split option in the boxing world, with lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson one man who is backing the bigger man.

Former heavyweight ruler Hasim Rahman, who famously once knocked out Lennox Lewis as the huge underdog, has spoken to FightHype and has no doubt that Usyk will repeat his win.

“Well, I think that Deontay Wilder got a big play in this Uysk and Tyson Fury rematch. I believe that Wilder and Fury took everything out of each other. I think they’re both shells of their former selves and I believe that Usyk will win this rematch by stoppage. I know he can drop him and hurt him and now the confidence is there. I think he can win by stoppage.”

Whoever does win could well look at taking a fight with Dubois to once again crown an undisputed heavyweight champion in the new year.
