The controversial heavyweight match-up between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul is less than one week away.

Two-time world heavyweight champion ‘AJ’ is set to make his long-awaited return to the ring against Paul at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Friday December 19.

Joshua was last in action back in September 2024 when he was stopped in the fifth round of his domestic showdown with former IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois.

Paul racked up arguably the best win of his career to date on June 28 when he defeated former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

The controversial meeting between Joshua and Paul has sparked plenty of debate. One prominent voice is former unified heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, who is best known for his shock 2001 knockout victory over Lennox Lewis.

In an interview with USA Today, Rahman predicted an ‘easy win’ for Joshua as he claims he expects the hard-hitting Brit to stop Paul in ‘one or two’ rounds.

“I really want to see the fight, but I just feel like it should be an easy fight for Anthony Joshua. So, I mean, he got to win this fight with ease … I don’t believe it should be a competitive fight. It should not. I feel like if Anthony Joshua don’t go in there and manhandle (Paul) and maul him and get him out of there in one or two rounds, then we got some questions to be asked.”

Whilst Joshua is expected to defeat Paul without any major problems, ‘The Problem Child’ looks to be confident heading into the bout, backing himself to defeat the Brit via stoppage in a very bold claim.
