David Haye Names Who He’d Rather Face Between Wardley And Dubois: “All Day Long”

Ahead of Fabio Wardley‘s fight with Daniel Dubois this weekend, David Haye has admitted there is one of the two men he would much rather face in the ring.

Haye is a former unified cruiserweight champion who moved up to heavyweight and also won a world title when he beat Nikolai Valuev and defended it against John Ruiz and Audley Harrison.

This weekend will be Wardley’s first defence of his WBO title. He was elevated to full champion late last year after knockout wins over both Justis Huni and then Joseph Parker, despite being down on the cards well into the later rounds.

His opponent Dubois is a former IBF world champion who lost his belt to undisputed ruler Oleksandr Usyk back in July 2025, and has not fought since.

Speaking to Boxing Life Stories, Haye admitted that of the two, he’d prefer to fight ‘DDD.’

“Daniel Dubois all day long. I’d much prefer to fight Daniel Dubois. You know what he’s going to do. You can see what he’s doing. Rarely does he throw punches off the angles that he usually does. He’s quite predictable in his approach.

“You know he’s coming forward, you know he’s double jabbing, you know he’s throwing a one-two left hook. You can see what he does. Yeah, I much prefer that. Fabio Wardley would be a nightmare.”

Dubois will be looking to regain the form he had in late 2023 and 2024 when he knocked out Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua in a superb run of results.
