An all-British heavyweight clash has been added to the November fight card topped by the rematch between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn.
It takes place on November 15 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, with likely the same weight conditions as the first fight. That means Benn will be competing at middleweight instead of his more natural welterweight division and Eubank will not be allowed to put on more than 10lbs after weighing in before the fight – though his team say that is not yet fully agreed.
Fans will be hoping that the second fight between Benn and Eubank is as thrilling as the first – an all-action 12-round battle that eventually saw Eubank making use of his naturally bigger size to get control and run out a unanimous points winner.
The undercard has now been announced and sees two British fighters clash at heavyweight as Richard Riakporhe takes on unbeaten Tommy Welch.
Riakporhe has previously challenged for a world title against then 200lbs belt holder Chris Billam-Smith but has boxed less often and against lower-level opposition since winning the British cruiserweight crown in December 2019. He made his heavyweight debut in May of this year.
Tommy Welch, son of former heavyweight Scott, is 16-0 with nine knockout wins and is 30-years-old, but is set for his toughest test to date against Riakporhe.
A fight between Riakporhe and Joe Joyce was also believed to be in talks for the bill before Welch got the nod, with Joyce still looking to rebuild his career following four defeats in his last five contests, the most recent of those coming in April against Filip Hrgovic.
The rest of the Eubank vs. Benn undercard sees Adam Azim face Zaur Abdullaev, Jack Catterall meet Ekow Essuman, Sam Gilley take on Ishmael Davis and Mikie Tallon go up against Fezan Shahid.
