An unbeaten heavyweight contender is set to make his highly anticipated return to the ring in a matter of weeks.
There are a number of undefeated heavyweight stars that are currently rising up through the ranks, including Britain’s Moses Itauma and America’s Richard Torrez.
It is another highly-rated fighter that is set to be back in action next though, after the return of two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Bakhodir Jalolov was announced.
Jalolov last fought in October when he defeated Vitaly Kudukhov by unanimous decision after eight rounds. After an underwhelming performance, he is now gearing up to make a quick return to action as he looks to push towards securing himself a world title shot.
The 31-year-old from Uzbekistan remains unbeaten in 16 professional bouts since making his debut back in 2018, with 14 of these victories coming inside of the scheduled distance.
Jalolov put his professional career on hold back in 2024 when he qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris. The hard-hitting Uzbek won all of his bouts via unanimous decision, walking away with the super-heavyweight gold medal for the second time in his amateur tenure.
As revealed on social media, Jalolov will compete for the 17th time as a professional on Friday November 14 when he locks horns with unbeaten Nigerian Solomon Adebayo in Tashkent.
Jalolov announced after his success at the Paris Olympics that he would be focusing on his professional career, and while the 31-year-old has been tipped for huge success by the likes of Bob Arum, he must mark his return to the ring in impressive fashion if he intends to move closer to securing himself a world title shot in the near future.
