Deontay Wilder is in the autumn of his career and needs to choose his final opponents wisely.

In his last bout, he got a KO win over Tyrell Herndon in June. It was his first contest in 12 months since he was stopped inside five rounds by Zhilei Zhang, which was six months after losing on points to Joseph Parker.

Before that, he stopped Robert Helenius not long after taking two losses to Tyson Fury in their epic trilogy, which started with a draw back in December 2018.

It’s currently unknown who Wilder plans to face next, but a heavyweight rival that he has been linked to for a number of years has spoken out against ‘The Bronze Bomber.’

Jarrell Miller is the man in question, as speaking to YSM Sports Media, he once again called for a showdown with Wilder.

“My thing is if he talking big that he’s gonna slap me and all that, that ****** needs to chill, Deontay knows better, bro, in and outside the ring. I’d rather do it inside the ring and take a cheque off his ass. But he said it from a long time ago. He never gonna fight ‘Big Baby’. He really be true to that.”

He was then asked how the fight goes.

“I’m gonna knock him out. Me and Deontay is the biggest fight in America right now, but I think Deontay really wanna cash out too.”

Miller is best known for failing a drug test ahead of his fight with Anthony Joshua in June 2019. Since then, he has been stopped by Daniel Dubois, and last time out fought to a draw with Andy Ruiz.

Wilder has also long been linked with a showdown with former unified champion Joshua, who has not fought himself for over a year.
