Fabio Wardley Called Out For Major Rematch: “100% I Beat Him This Time”

One of Fabio Wardley‘s previous victims claims he has the beating of the Brit if they were to fight again.

Wardley’s rise through the ranks has been remarkable. Making it more impressive is the fact that he had no amateur background and just fought a few times in the white collar scene.

He turned professional in April 2017 and picked up several heavyweight championships at the regional level before taking on gatekeepers such as Eric Molina in 2021.

After that, he continued to step up with wins over Nick Webb, Nathan Gorman and David Adeleye before an all-out war with Frazer Clarke ended in a draw, and he won the rematch inside a round.

Then came KO wins over Justis Huni and former world champion Joseph Parker that resulted in him being elevated to WBO world champion when Oleksandr Usyk vacated rather than face him in the ring.

Speaking to FightHype, Parker backed himself to beat Wardley if they fought again.

“A few things happened before the fight where I didn’t really feel myself. [Justis Huni] did tremendous in his fight. Getting caught is just boxing, the same as me, he got caught. I reckon if Justis runs it back with him, or if I run it back with him, we both beat him, yeh, 100%. Just don’t get caught in the process.”

Back in November, Parker failed a Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) drug test but has claimed his innocence and is waiting on the verdict before he can fight again.

Wardley, meanwhile, has his hands full with a first defence of his belt against former IBF ruler Daniel Dubois in May.
