George Foreman and Lennox Lewis cemented themselves as two of the greatest heavyweights to ever lace up the gloves during their respective careers.
Both men enjoyed incredible success throughout their tenures. ‘Big’ George still holds the record as being the oldest world heavyweight champion in boxing history, which he accomplished back in 1994 with a shock victory against Michael Moorer, capturing the WBA and IBF heavyweight titles in the process.
‘The Lion’ often receives recognition for being one of, if not the greatest British fighter of all time. He became the undisputed heavyweight champion in 1999, holding the crown for four years before he walked away from the sport following his victory over Vitali Klitschko.
There is one ex-heavyweight who once spoke out and claimed he would have beaten both men on the very same night. That man is Riddick ‘Big Daddy’ Bowe, who enjoyed an accomplished career of his own.
Speaking on The Arsenio Hall Show, Bowe claimed he would defeat both Foreman and Lewis on same night, as well as the late-great Tommy Morrison who defeated ‘Big’ George back in 1993.
“Let me say this. I’m going Tommy Morrison and George Foreman the same night, Lennox Lewis as a chaser. So you line em’ up.”
In a 45-fight career, Bowe lost on just one occasion against Evander Holyfield in 1993, although he avenged that defeat just 2-years later. He became the undisputed heavyweight champion in 1992 in his first victory over Holyfield, going on to face ‘The Real’ deal on two more occasions in a memorable trilogy of contests.
