Derek Chisora and Deontay Wilder are set to deliver plenty of heavyweight drama this weekend, but first, Filip Hrgovic has made his fight prediction.
UK favourite ‘Del Boy’ and American former world champion ‘The Bronze Bomber’ are two veterans, both defined by power and personality, and step into the ring in London this weekend with plenty still to prove in what will be their 50th contest.
Chisora has always come up short at the very top level but has found form recently with a trio of wins against Otto Wallin, Gerald Washington and Joe Joyce, though he has many miles on the clock after plenty of tough nights.
Wilder once ruled over the division with what is considered to be one of the most lethal right hands in the history of the sport. That was until he came up against Tyson Fury and was beaten up, then knocked out in two of their three contests. Since then, he has struggled to find any form and lost to both Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang.
Speaking to iFL TV, heavyweight contender Hrgovic broke down what he thinks will happen.
“I think Chisora. Wilder looked really bad in his last few fights, and I think Chisora’s style will give him a problem, and Chisora can take punches well, so I think Chisora.”
A loss would surely mean the end for either man, while a win could reignite a late-career fire and lead to more big fights at the top of the division, though ‘Del Boy’ claims he will retire no matter what on Saturday.
