Moses Itauma seems destined to be the man to beat for all heavyweight contenders around the world.

The 20-year-old has won all 13 of his fights, 11 of them by knockout and nine of those stoppage wins have come inside the first two rounds. That includes his most recent and most experienced opponent, Dillian Whyte, who was stopped this month inside the first two minutes.

Itauma is already being linked with a fight with Oleksandr Usyk, who has previously tipped him to become a future world champion, but now another highly-rated prospect has challenged the youngster.

Speaking to Australian Boxing Central, Aussie rising star Teremoana Teremoana has now said a fight will definitely happen.

“I think the chances of the fight happening are probably most definite. Just give it time. I think in the next two to three years we might get that fight. That’s just coming from me, obviously.

“What exciting times are coming for Moses. We’ve got this talent coming into the heavyweight division at this time. I feel like the older generation is fading away and the new generation is coming up and we’re looking to prove who is the best. We’ve got two talents in me and Moses and we’re going to see who is the best.”

27-year-old, 6ft 6 Teremoana hails from a suburb of Sydney in New South Wales and has won all eight of his professional fights so far by knockout.

His first came back in 2020, his most recent in June, and in between those contests he represented Australia in the super-heavyweight category at the 2024 Summer Olympics and eventually lost to Uzbek Bakhodir Jalolov in the quarter finals.

Whether a potential clash against Itauma would happen remains to be seen, though if both keep winning it may indeed be a significant one in the future.
