Heavyweight hopeful Moses Itauma has a view on who is the best boxer out of Tyson Fury, Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua.
Itauma is an impressive young fighter who has long been on a mission to beat Mike Tyson‘s record of being the youngest ever man to win the world heavyweight title.
He has until May this year to beat Tyson’s long-standing record of picking up a major strap at the age of just 20. The British-Slovakian fighter has already sparred the likes of Fury who declared him a future world champion, and last time out he got an impressive first-round knockout win over Demsey McKean on the undercard of ‘The Gypsy King’s rematch with Usyk.
That victory took his record to 11-0 with nine knockouts and two points victories, with former opponents including the likes of Mariusz Wach, Dan Garber and Isa Mezencev.
Speaking to TNT Sports Boxing, Itauma was recently asked about the current best boxer from Britain and he chose Daniel Dubois.
Dubois is coming off the best run of results in his career to date. His last three fights have been against Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua. All three stoppages, the 27-year-old handed Miller and Hrgovic their first ever defeats before being elevated to world champion and knocking out Joshua in five.
Joshua and Fury are the two most accomplished heavyweights from these shores. Both are two-time world champions and have largely carried the popularity of the top division on their back. However, two losses to Oleksandr USyk each have put them out of the world title picture and they are most likely to face off together next in a non-title grudge match that will garner huge attention.
