Moses Itauma is tipped by many for big things in the sport of boxing.

The rising star hasn’t put a foot wrong since making his professional debut in January 2023, putting together an undefeated record of 12-0, 10 of those victories coming by knockout.

In his last three fights, 20-year-old Itauma has picked up stoppage wins against Mike Balogun, Demsey McKean and Mariusz Wach, each of them coming inside the first two rounds.

Next up for Itauma is a clash against former world heavyweight title challenger Dillian Whyte in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this weekend, in what is viewed as being the toughest test of his career so far.

Despite the step up in competition, Itauma is still seen as a big favourite against Whyte, and appears to already have his sights set on his next target provided he is victorious.

Speaking to Queensberry, Itauma was asked who out of the other heavyweights on this weekend’s card he would want to face next, and he went with Filip Hrgovic.

“If I beat Dillian Whyte, obviously me and Hrgovic have had some back and forth, it’s up to my promoter and manager, but if you’re asking me, me vs Hrgovic.”

Hrgovic faces David Adeleye on Saturday, looking to earn his second victory of the year following his unanimous decision win over Joe Joyce in Manchester earlier this year.

The Croatian has a record of 18 wins and just 1 defeat, with that sole loss coming in June 2024, when he was stopped in the eighth round by Daniel Dubois.
