A four-division world champion has vowed to hand Jake Paul the first knockout defeat of his career.
Paul made his long-awaited return to the ring last month, defeating Mexico’s former WBC world middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr via unanimous decision at the Honda Center in Anaheim on June 28.
The 28-year-old from Cleveland dominated proceedings from the opening bell, facing little-to-no threat from Chavez who has received intense criticism for what was an underwhelming performance.
Paul has now secured himself his first official world ranking, going in at number 14 with the WBA in their June rankings just ahead of hard-hitting American contender Craig Parker, who has actually expressed his outrage at being ranked below ‘The Problem Child’.
Speaking in a social media post, four-weight world champion Adrien Broner claimed in a shock tirade that he would knock Paul out should he be given the chance to face the Youtuber-turned-fighter.
“Jake Paul, I’d knock your b—h ass out! I’m talking to you Jake Paul, I’d knock you the f–k out! Dead ass.”
At one stage, Broner was one of the highest rated contenders in the sport, but a number of personal issues outside of the ring saw him become the subject of a number of controversies.
He has faced the ring with a number of generational greats however, including the likes of Mikey Garcia, Shawn Porter and Manny Pacquiao to name a few.
Broner was comprehensively outpointed by fellow countryman Blair Cobbs in his last outing in June 2024 and is yet to make his return to the ring.
