Jake Paul is already weighing up a number of potential future opponents, just days after he suffered a brutal stoppage defeat to Anthony Joshua.

The 28-year-old former Youtube star was stopped in the 6th round of his heavyweight showdown with Joshua at the Kaseya Center in Miami last Friday.

The significant size and weight difference proved to be the difference for ‘AJ’ on the night, although Paul has received plaudits for his valiant effort against the two-time heavyweight champion.

It was revealed on Saturday that Paul had suffered a double broken jaw and had undergone successful surgery which is expected to keep him out of action for a number of months.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Most Valuable Promotions CEO Nakisa Bidarian revealed that Paul is interested in avenging the defeat that he suffered to Tommy Fury back in February 2023.

“We haven’t talked about timeline but if he wants to come back in 2026, he put out a post that says “I love this. Time to recover. Back to cruiserweight. Who do you want to see me fight?” so I believe that to be the case but I also want him to get through the holidays right? Feel a little bit better then have the conversation with him. There’s no need to rush in terms of what’s next. Tommy Fury is a loss that he wants to avenge.”

Fury defeated Paul via majority decision at the conclusion of their cruiserweight bout just shy of several years ago, although ‘The Problem Child’ came very close to handing the Brit the first defeat of his career, flooring him in the 8th and final round at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia.
