Jake Paul will welcome Mike Tyson back to the pro ranks on November 15. Sort of.

The YouTuber-turned-fighter will face the former undisputed heavyweight champion in a fight that will count on both of their records but is to be contested over eight two-minute rounds and with 16 ounce gloves.

Despite the softer rules, the bout has received considerable backlash and that includes some from the one man to beat Paul, Tommy Fury.

The Brit – who was the first boxer with some experience Paul faced and the closest to his weight – scored a split decision win in Saudi Arabia. He told The Stomping Ground that he was surprised the spectacle was sanctioned.

“To be honest I was pretty surprised it got passed, because the guy is 60-years-old. I think it’s a lose-lose situation, because if he beats him he’s knocked out a 60-year-old man that everybody loves, so he’s not gonna get any credit for that. And if he loses, he’s got knocked out by a 60-year-old man. It’s on Netflix, yeah it’s a big thing, congratulations, but the fight itself, I don’t think it’s one that people really want to see. Cause it’s not a fight is it?”

Asked if Paul had improved since their fight, Fury said no.

“Nope. He’s useless. It shouldn’t be allowed. Mike Tyson is my father’s age. 60-years-old is a big number. I just think it’s ridiculous, to be fair. He couldn’t beat me, someone his own age, so now he’s going to fight a grandad. It is what it is, isn’t it?”

Paul and Tyson face off on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
