Boxing Legend James Toney Didn’t Hesitate When Asked Who Wins Fury vs Usyk Rematch: “He’ll KO Him”

James Toney has had his view on the upcoming heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.

This much-anticipated rematch between two of the best in the division is an epic way to end the year and a rematch of their first fight back in May.

That contest was for the undisputed championship and was won by Usyk, who did enough to impose himself in the middle of the fight, including landing a barrage of clean punches in the 9th round that saw Fury taking a 10 count. At the end of the 12th round, Fury took his first-ever loss on points and has since vowed to come back better.

He has a history of doing that in rematches, most notably against Deontay Wilder who he stopped in the second two of their three fights.

Key to that will be staying more focused than he was during the first fight, which is something ‘The Gypsy King’ has indeed admitted to, though plenty of people think he may now be past his best.

Ahead of that former, multi-weight world champion Toney spoke to Pro Boxing Fans and predicted a Fury win.

“Oh he will win the fight, this time he will take the guy serious and he’s gonna knock him out. With Tyson, what he did, he underestimated him and lost. He should have never lost to that guy.”

Usyk has vowed to carry on should he win, and has even claimed he would move back down to cruiserweight and attempt to recapture the undisputed title he held back in that division in 2018.
