Jarrell Miller has has made a bold prediction about the upcoming fight between Martin Bakole and Jared Anderson.

This is an intriguing heavyweight match-up between two fighters who have shown plenty of promise but who are yet to have truly big tests.

Bakole is coming off a solid win over Carlos Takam but is still haunted by a loss to a much smaller man in Michael Hunter back in 2018. Toledo native Anderson started his career well with a string of knockouts before then going the distance with Charles Martin, and again with Ryad Merhy last time out.

American contender Miller was asked by Fight Hub TV if he would fight Anderson himself one day down the line.

“If he gets past Bakole, which I don’t think he will. He’s only been fighting cruiserweights. He fought Charles Martin on 10 days’ notice and Charles nearly got him out of there. I think Bakole is way too much for him to handle. Bakole’s a real heavyweight. Don’t be surprised if Anderson quits on his stool.”

He was asked how he came to that conclusion.

“I’m good at reading styles, man, I’m good at reading people, reading gestures on their face, I seen him in with other guys that are lesser than Bakole and you see him mentally having moments where he struggled. Bakole doesn’t mind taking a punch, he doesn’t mind getting beat up for three or four rounds and keep putting the pressure on, I don’t see Anderson taking the kind of pressure Bakole can and bringing it back.”

Miller fights former unified champion Andy Ruiz this weekend on the same card.
