Joe Joyce faces Filip Hrgovic in Manchester, a fight that has been branded last chance saloon for both men.
Joyce’s two losses to Zhilei Zhang, in the eyes of many, changed him as a contender. Once viewed as unstoppable, ‘The Juggernaut’ is now looking to convince fans that his world title dreams are still alive, even despite a points loss to Derek Chisora last time out.
Hrgovic stepped in on late notice when the original opponent, Dillian Whyte, pulled out with an injury to his finger. The Croatian heavyweight is coming off his first career loss to Daniel Dubois, but says he was unwell during camp and is looking to make a statement in the UK.
UPDATE: Filip Hrgovic beats Joe Joyce by unanimous decision with the scores 98-92, 97-93 and 96-95.
