John Fury has reignited his feud with Carl Froch after launching a fiery rant at the former world champion.
Multiple-time super-middleweight titleholder Froch has been a heavy critic of John over the years, hitting out at the father of Tyson and Tommy for his antics.
John has never been one to mince his words, and it is clear he has taken issue with Froch, after taking his opportunity to confront ‘The Cobra’ at the launch press conference for Tyson Fury’s fight with Arslanbek Makhmudov.
That bout takes place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on April 11, and with Froch part of the Netflix broadcast team for the press conference, John angrily lashed out at the 48-year-old for his past comments.
“Where are you. Let’s get it on. Here I am. They talk about me day and night on videos. Here I am ready to fight. Get that Carl Froch here. If he wants it I’m here. Put some f**king respect on my name. Run like a b**ch Carl Froch.”
Froch last fought back in May 2014 when he defeated George Groves at Wembley Stadium, ending a long and successful career which saw him take on all comers at 168lbs.
In recent times, he has teased exhibition bouts with the likes of Darren Till and long-term rival Joe Calzaghe, but now it appears that John could want a shock fight against ‘The Cobra.’
It’s highly unlikely it would happen, and instead, the only Fury fans will probably see fighting anytime soon is Tyson, when he ends his retirement for the clash against Makhmudov in two months’ time.
