Brendan Ingle MBE, a legendary coach and moulder of men, sadly passed away just over a year ago. Along with his loving wife and family, he leaves behind an inspirational legacy as a mentor who led his fighters – including Herol Graham and Naseem Hamed – to championships but also, more importantly, helped them to become better people.
Johnny Nelson, who Brendan changed from a poor amateur and timid individual to the world cruiserweight title and a thriving career as a confident broadcaster, pays tribute to Ingle.
