Roy Jones Jr Adamant Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul Fight Only Ends One Of Two Ways: “He’ll Decide”

Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul is officially taking place this month.

The much-talked about match-up goes down at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Friday 15 November, and will be the first boxing event broadcast live on Netflix.

The fight continues to divide opinion within boxing, with fans and insiders debating whether it should be going ahead, due to ‘Iron Mike’ now being 58-years-old, while Paul is over 30 years younger at 27.

Roy Jones Jr was the last man to step into the ring with Tyson for an exhibition bout in 2020, but Tyson’s last professional contest came way back in 2005.

Jones has been discussing the fight with Talksport, and whilst he admits the cardio of Tyson could be a concern, he thinks ‘Iron Mike’ will be able to quickly judge whether he wants to end the fight early, or if he is capable of going all eight rounds.

“Mike is a very rugged guy. When I was in there with Mike, he was still hard to hit and can still hit hard as hell. There is no reason to really fear for Mike, the only thing I fear for him is if the fight goes beyond four, five rounds, it could get problematic for Mike because of his age.

“If it doesn’t go beyond four or five rounds he’ll be fine. I think he’ll come out and assess the situation and see if he can deal with Jake’s size and power, because he does have power.

“After that he’ll make his mind up as to whether he can go and try to get him out, or if he’ll be safe to go the whole eight rounds.”

Another of Tyson’s former foes is Lennox Lewis, and he has also given a fresh prediction for the showdown, claiming that one man is in deep trouble.
