Anthony Joshua will face newly-elevated world champion Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium next month.

The all-British heavyweight clash pits two of the biggest punchers in the division against one another, with Joshua bringing experience to the table against the raw power and youth of Dubois.

Both men are on good runs of form after losses to recently undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk, with ‘AJ’ stopping Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou in his last three and Dubois scoring TKOs over Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic.

Speaking to Pro Boxing Fans, 24-year-old hard-hitting heavyweight Matty Harris weighed up his experience of sparring both men and applied it to the fight.

“I think Joshua might have a little bit too much experience for Dubois. Dubois isn’t gonna walk him down the way he walked Hrgovic down. I know Hrgovic can punch, but his shots, a lot of them were fast and he looked off balance … Dubois will be a little bit more measured because he knows he can’t get hit that clean off of Joshua, but if he’s more measured that kind of plays into Joshua’s hands.

Dubois, he’s got an impressive gas tank, what heavyweight do you know that throws over 50 punches a round? When he boxed Miller he consistently threw over 50 punches over ten rounds. It’s a lot of punches from a big man.”

Harris then made his prediction – an emphatic knockout for the two-time heavyweight champion.

“I’m gonna just call it and say I think Joshua knocks him out. I don’t think Dubois has got a good enough defence, he’s pretty straightforward. I’ve made up my mind – I think Joshua knocks him spark out within eight rounds.”

Dubois puts the IBF World Title on the line against ‘AJ’ on September 21.
