Anthony Joshua has shared the ring with both Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker.
These two fights came at different ends of his career. Parker was a WBO champion when ‘AJ’ took him on back in 2018. At that point, he had already won his first world title and unified it with another belt by beating Wladimir Klitschko.
New Zealander Parker was the first man to take Joshua the 12 rounds, though did little damage to the Brit on his way to a points loss.
From then, Joshua had several ups and downs, including an upset loss to Andy Ruiz – which he reversed in a rematch – before then sharing 24 rounds with Oleksandr Usyk, who took the world titles from the Brit and held onto them in the return fight.
After four rebuild victories, Joshua went into the ring with new IBF World Champion Dubois in September and was knocked out inside five rounds by the young heavyweight.
It completed a fine trio of wins for Dubois, who has also stopped Jarrell Miller and Fillip Hrgovic in his most recent contests.
Parker is next up on February 22 and is in a fine run of his own having beaten Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang, both on points, in 2023 and 2024.
Ahed of that Joshua has said he will be going to watch the fight in Saudi Arabia and has predicted that Parker will win, while Riyadh Season’s Turki Alalshikh has sided with Dubois to keep the belt.
‘AJ’ has made it clear that he would like to rematch Dubois in the future to avenge his loss, however if his prediction for Parker comes good fans could see a very different return fight should the 35-year-old Brit want to achieve his goal of becoming three-time champion.
