There are just days to go until Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford finally meet inside the ring.
Canelo and Crawford are regarded as two of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, and they will collide with one another at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this Saturday.
The bout sees Alvarez putting his undisputed super-middleweight crown on the line, with Crawford stepping up two weight divisions from 154lbs looking to become the sole ruler of a third division having already accomplished it at 140 and 147lbs.
Another man that was once undisputed welterweight champion is Zab Judah, who held that honour in 2005 and was world champion at super-lightweight too, having also shared the ring with the likes of Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto during his career.
Judah has been speaking ahead of the Canelo vs. Crawford clash this weekend, telling ESNews that he believes ‘Bud’ is going to pull off the upset and knock out the Mexican superstar.
“Crawford, no hesitation. Big ‘Bud’. We gonna have to roll Canelo up. We gonna have to pack him up baby. It’s a very big challenge. With his skills, the way he’s adapting to the size, brother, when I see them standing toe-to-toe and side-by-side, I said game over, Terence Crawford. And listen, don’t be surprised if he stops him. Don’t be surprised if Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford stops Canelo.”
Judah isn’t the only former super-lightweight and welterweight world champion that feels Crawford is going to stop Canelo inside the distance when they collide this weekend, as Hall of Famer Tim Bradley has also predicted that outcome.
