Shakur Stevenson and Gervonta Davis could star in one of the best fights in boxing.

The pair both hold belts in the lightweight division, bring to the table completely contrasting styles and have, for the majority of their campaigns, looked unbeatable.

Stevenson has recently inked a deal with Matchroom Boxing and, with that, set out a three-fight hit list. It begins with Joe Cordina on October 12 before they will look to face number one contender William Zepeda and then move into the ‘Tank’ Davis unification.

When it happens, former lightweight world champion and Stevenson rival George Kambosos Jr is willing to bet big bucks that ‘Tank’ gets the knockout.

“[I’ll bet] a million he knocks [Shakur’s] buck teeth out cold. Wont happen though, Shakur just talks. Maybe if it’s 5 on 1 like his little street fight.”

The prediction came within an extended social media back-and-forth between the pair in which Kambosos also predicted Stevenson would be beaten by Devin Haney, Teofimo Lopez and Vasiliy Lomachenko – the three losses on his own record.

For his part, Shakur branded the Aussie a ‘one hit wonder’ who may never win another fight in boxing, also saying that Maxi Hughes should have had his hand raised in Kambosos’ controversial last victory.

Back to the Davis fight, and fans will hope that the three-step plan towards it comes good. The knockout artist from Baltimore is expected to return to the ring this November with an opponent yet to be named.
