Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano face off in a highly-anticipated rematch in Arlington, Texas.
The initial meeting was a historic fight for female boxing that took place in April of 2022 at Madison Square Garden. It was the first women’s boxing headliner at the iconic venue and the fight matched the hype with back-and-forth action throughout.
Despite being hurt in the fifth round, Ireland’s Taylor rallied and saw out the ten rounds to win a split decision and retain her undisputed lightweight championship. This time out the two elite operators meet for her four belts at super-lightweight, though the fight is at a catchweight of 138 pounds which slightly favours Puerto Rico’s Serrano as the naturally lighter woman.
