Khan Could Now Face Brook In March Or April

It appears Amir Khan has had a rethink and is now keen to face bitter British rival Kell Brook in March or April instead of challenging unbeaten Terence Crawford for the American’s WBO welterweight title.

Media reports suggested Khan was to challenge Crawford next but after watching Brook labour to a points win over Australian Michael Zerafa last weekend, the former Olympic silver medallist has done a dramatic u turn.

"I just think that sometimes that long layoff he [Brook] had can harm your body," Khan told Berkeley Assets.

"Plus there’s a lot of people saying that outside the gym, outside of fighting, he [Brook] doesn’t live the professional life,

"We’ve the same promoter in Eddie Hearn, hopefully that fight can happen, probably March or April.

Facing Brook appears to a no brainer if the financial rumours appear to be true. Khan was said to have been offered £4 million to face Crawford, which is arguably the tougher fight, but near £8 million to take on Brook in an all British ppv event.
