Amir Khan has gone into detail about how he sees the fight between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn playing out next month.
The first fight back in April did not disappoint after years of heated build-up following a failed drug test that put paid to their proposed first date in October 2022.
Eubank narrowly failed to make weight back in April, but was able to come in under the check weight the following day, and eventually used his natural size advantage to take control of the fight and win an unanimous decision.
The pair now do battle all again on November 15, with many of boxing’s top figures making their prediction, with former unified super-lightweight world champion Khan the latest to do so.
Speaking on iFL TV, Khan predicts another Eubank win, but thinks it will be a closer fight overall.
“I think Conor will do more, cause he has a little bit left in the tank. He could have done more but he was maybe holding back a little bit. I think it maybe a closer fight than the first one, but I think Eubank will still take that fight, maybe take the win, he has the confidence that he’s beat him once before.
“He’s bigger than him physically, and I think experience, ’cause he’s the favourite going into the fight. One thing about Eubank is that he’s won a lot of fans over recently, respect to him there.”
The first fight was a high-octane 12-rounder, so a repeat would please the fans. A win for Eubank would allow him to move on to the big fights he has chased with the likes of Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez, while Benn has been talking about going after the WBC welterweight champion, Mario Barrios.
