Lennox Lewis Recently Saw Mike Tyson Train And Didn’t Hesitate To Answer If He Can KO Jake Paul

Legendary former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson returns to the ring for his first professional fight in around twenty years next month when he takes on YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

The fight was originally scheduled for July but an ulcer flare-up for ‘Iron’ Mike caused the bout to be postponed.

One man who knows exactly what it’s like to be in the ring with the fighter known as ‘The Baddest Man on the Plant’ is former undisputed champion Lennox Lewis.

Lewis defeated Tyson back in 2002 by eighth round knockout in what was one of the biggest heavyweight fights of all time.

Speaking to the The Schmo about Tyson’s comeback, Lewis revealed that he had seen his old foe training recently and warned Paul to avoid those famous combinations.

“I think it’s going to be a good fight. Mike Tyson what he does, he’s two dimensional, he’s going to come at you and try and knock you out.

Now you have to try and stay away from him and his power. I saw him working out the other day and he throws some good combinations. Those six-punch combinations, Paul has to make sure he’s not in the way of those punches cause Tyson’s a real fighter.

Tyson still has it, he can throw a punch, he can take a punch, so he’s doing something he’s used to.”

In a separate interview with FOX 29 he had no doubt that Paul would hit the canvas if Tyson connects and predicted the 58-year-old to prove experience and talent beats youth.

“Mike Tyson’s gonna win. Mike Tyson’s not that old. Don’t take him too softly. We’re one year apart … You can fight somebody like that and do well, because the person you’re fighting is not a true fighter and there’s a hundred things that you’ve forgotten that he’s learning.

[The age] will be a little bit of a determining factor if the fight goes on too long, but if they get close and Mike Tyson comes with his ten second combination, if one of those punches catches [Paul] he’s definitely gonna go down.”

Paul vs Tyson takes place at the AT&T stadium in Texas on November 15 and will be streamed live on Netflix.
