There are plenty of split opinions following the scoring in the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk rematch.

Fury and Usyk did battle for the second time to determine the best heavyweight in the division, after the Ukrainian won back in May to become undisputed champion.

‘The Gypsy King’ insisted he would right the wrongs from the first encounter, making changes to his corner team to remove his father John, along with weighing in much heavier than he did earlier this year.

Despite the alterations, it was the same outcome once again, as Usyk came out on top after a close battle to win by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the bout 116-112.

Some of the biggest names in boxing history were in attendance for the fight, including Lennox Lewis, the last man to be undisputed at heavyweight before Usyk.

Lewis spoke to TNT Sports Boxing after the fight, and was asked whether he agreed with the decision.

“In terms of the winner, yes.”

He then expanded and discussed what he made of the fight.

“It was a good fight. I would have liked to have seen Tyson a little bit more aggressive and go after Usyk a bit more. He won the first fight so it was up to Tyson to go after him and make sure he wins the second fight.

“Fury will feel he won the fight, I thought he could have done more work. Usyk was hitting him to the body a few times giving him free shots. Those are scoring points and I guess that’s what the judges were looking at.”

While Lewis agreed with the outcome, it is safe to say that Fury didn’t agree with it, and he has revealed how he scored the fight himself.
