Teofimo Lopez Makes KO Prediction For Ryan Garcia vs Rolly Romero: “He Will End It”

Teofimo Lopez sees the Ryan Garcia vs. Rolly Romero fight ending inside the distance.

Garcia will meet Romero in a welterweight bout on May 2, as part of a card taking place at the ambitious location of Times Square in New York City.

It sees ‘King Ry’ return to action for the first time in over a year, having last competed when he took on Devin Haney at the Barclays Center in April 2024.

Garcia initially won that fight on points after dropping Haney several times, but it was changed to a no contest after it later emerged that he had failed a drugs test, with Garcia also receiving a 12-month suspension.

Having served his punishment, he prepares to take on former WBA super-lightweight champion Romero, who has shared the ring with the likes of Gervonta Davis and Isaac Cruz in his career.

Also on the card will be Lopez, who defends his WBO super-lightweight title against Arnold Barboza Jr, and Lopez has told The Ring how he sees the fight between ‘King Ry’ and Romero going.

“I’d say that the fight goes late round stoppage by Ryan Garcia. I think Ryan will end it, since he’s been away for that long.”

Lopez himself has been linked to a fight with Garcia for a number of years, but must first overcome undefeated Barboza and continue to keep winning to have any hope of making that fight a reality in the future.

The fight at Times Square next month also sees Haney return, taking on Jose Ramirez, where a victory for Haney could set up a rematch with ‘King Ry’ later this year.
