The Manny Pacquiao vs. Mario Barrios verdict continues to be a hot topic of conversation.

Pacquiao made a sensational return to the sport at the age of 46 and having not competed in nearly four years as he challenged Barrios for his WBC welterweight title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

There were a lot of concerns going in that ‘Pac-Man’ was past his prime and would struggle to compete with a much younger opponent, but he was extremely competitive throughout the 12 rounds and a lot of people felt he had done enough when the final bell rang.

It wasn’t to be though, as the judges scored it 115-113 Barrios and 114-114 twice as the fight ended in a majority decision draw as Barrios kept hold of his WBC welterweight title.

One man who was in attendance for the fight was WBO super-lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez, and he revealed to FightHype that he had Pacquiao as a comfortable winner.

“Pacquiao won that s**t. I had it 10-2, 9-3. The amount of punches were connecting and the last 10 seconds he was showing the more aggressive punches.”

Lopez then named who ‘Pac-Man’ should fight next, claiming that the Filipino doesn’t need to take a rematch with Barrios.

“He should fight Mayweather. Pacquiao has still got it. I don’t think he should [rematch Barrios]. I feel like Pacquiao did more than enough and he really outshined him.”

While Lopez feels that ‘Pac-Man’ should face his old rival Mayweather, the eight-weight world champion has already made it clear what he plans to do next.
