The highly-anticipated rematch between domestic rivals Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn is just one week away.
The British duo locked horns for the first time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in April, reigniting the feud between their respective families which dates back to the two memorable encounters between their fathers, Chris Sr and Nigel.
After an electric twelve round middleweight clash in London, Eubank Jr was declared the winner via unanimous decision, with all three of the judges scorecards reading 116-112 in favour of the former WBA interim middleweight champion.
One man that has been given an insight into the preparations of Eubank and Benn is former British light-middleweight champion Troy Williamson, who has sparred both fighters in the lead-up to their rematch.
In an interview with iFL TV, Williamson was asked to share his thoughts on the much-anticipated second clash between the domestic rivals, as he claims he is expecting a ‘good fight’.
“I’m on the fence. I’m on the fence you know. If I hadn’t had sparred both I’d have give a prediction but I’m expecting a good fight. I’m looking forward to the fight as a fan.”
Eubank has linked back up with former trainer Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre ahead of his rematch with Benn, a decision that is said to have been made based on the 36-year-old’s victory over Liam Smith in September of 2023.
Benn will have his sights set on revenge and potentially setting up a trilogy encounter with Eubank, an opportunity that their fathers missed out on back in the 1990s after their own rematch ended in a draw.
