Manny Pacquiao Calls Out Current World Champion With 90% KO Ratio: “You Don’t Scare Me”

Eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao continues to tease a sensational return.

The 46-year-old from the Philippines has been out of the ring since he was outpointed by former WBA world welterweight champion Yordenis Ugas in August 2021. He announced his official retirement from boxing just one month later in a social media post.

‘Pac-Man’ has had two exhibition contests since drawing the curtain on his career however, facing DK Yoo and Rukiya Anpo in 2022 and 2024 respectively, although the former pound-for-pound great reportedly remains keen on re-entering the professional ranks should a suitable opportunity present arise.

One fighter who has emerged as a potential opponent for Pacquiao is reigning WBA lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, who has knocked out all but two of the fighters he has beaten during his tenure.

Speaking to Seconds Out, Pacquiao expressed his interest in facing ‘Tank.’

“I can fight anybody, even like Gervonta Davis … I’m not scared of anybody.”

Davis came extremely close to being dethroned of his WBA Lightweight World Title when he fought to a draw against Lamont Roach Jr last month. The 30-year-old from Baltimore was not only being matched by Roach, but he took a knee in the ninth round which, had it been called a knockdown, would have likely cost him the fight. The pair are set to clash in a rematch this summer, with an official announcement expected in the coming weeks.

As for Pacquiao, he continues to be linked to a world championship return against current WBC Welterweight World Champion Mario Barrios.
