Martin Bakole is currently in the form of his life.
In August he dominated previously unbeaten Jared Anderson and got the win by fifth round knockout, dropping the highly-rated prospect three times along the way.
He has also claimed victories over fighters such as Carlos Takam, Tony Yoka and Sergey Kuzmin in his career, putting him on the cusp of a potential crack at world honours.
Despite his success, Bakole has claimed that another top heavyweight has turned down a fight against him, and that is hard-hitting Zhilei Zhang.
‘Big Bang’ was last in action in when he knocked out Deontay Wilder, but Bakole has claimed on social media that he is running scared.
“I came to give Zhang his shoes. He is running away. I am in Congo training hard for big Zhang, but I heard he said no to the fight. Your team is protecting you and don’t want you to get knocked out.”
Instead, Bakole is set to go up against Agit Kabayel, after the fight was officially ordered as a final eliminator by the IBF to decide the next mandatory challenger for Daniel Dubois.
“I am focused now on Agit Kabayel, so Kabayel be ready. Big thank you to the IBF for giving me this big opportunity, I am looking forward to being number one next year.
“Kabayel you are going to get it. Nobody will run away from this. I am the future, next year is my year. Bakole is the next king.”
Bakole vs. Kabayel isn’t the only major fight to be recently announced, after a massive world title showdown was unveiled.
