Martin Bakole Names Three-Man Hit List After Huge Jared Anderson KO: “I Want To Stop That Man”

Martin Bakole finally landed a slot on the big stage he had been chasing and made every second count.

The heavyweight from Congo has long considered himself the dangerman in the heavyweight division and has told many a sparring tale to back that up. Fans were waiting to see him prove it in the ring, and three knockdowns leading to a fifth round stoppage of America’s heavyweight hope, Jared Anderson, did just that.

Bakole, 31, put in the most impressive performance on the card that night and, as such, is in good favour with Riyadh Season and Turki Alalshikh. That means another big fight is on the horizon.

Speaking via his promotional company BOXXER, the thumping puncher named Zhilei Zhang, Agit Kabayel and Joseph Parker as his targets.

“For right now, people that are on my level. People I’m allowed to fight because I’m number six now in the top ten. I would like to fight seven, eight, nine, ten. I’ll mention Zhang. It will be a good fight, I want to stop that man. I’ll mention Kabayel. That is a big fight. I would say Joseph Parker. That’s three names.”

Promoter Frank Warren has said that Zhang’s likely next fight is a rematch with Parker and he was beaten over the distance late last year, ruling both men out for Bakole.

Kabayel, who was largely inactive for years but has seen an impressive resurgence on the Riyadh Season shows, could be made. Having already toppled two boogeymen in Arslanbek Makhmudov and Frank Sanchez, Bakole would be going straight into another intriguing match-up.
